A cover model and actor doled out advice for men in the United States regarding the topic of masculinity, adding that the world seems to be “upside down” right now.
Fabio Lanzoni, an Italian American who is known for being a model on the cover of romance novels, spoke with Fox News host Neil Cavuto during a segment of “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” Tuesday to discuss comments he had made earlier this year about men in romance novels being portrayed as being too soft.
During an interview with the New York Post (NYP) in June, Lanzoni slammed the idea of “soft masculinity” being portrayed in romance novels as being “hogwash.”
“In life, there are trends, and this is nothing more than a trend,” Lanzoni said at the time. “It’s ridiculous, like all the rest of the woke movement.”

When asked by Cavuto if he had any advice for young men, Lanzoni said, “Be yourself and don’t drink soy milk.”
“Men and women, they’re different,” Lanzoni added. “Men have to have testosterone. And especially, in cases of war… who do you think is going to save you? The metrosexual guy in the city or somebody who has testosterone, you know, who is in the army?”
In his interview with the NYP, Lanzoni added that he speaks with “many people,” especially women who tell him they “can’t find real men anymore.”
“They say, ‘We want a real man, not a metrosexual,'” Lanzoni continued. “So what they say is happening in the new romance novels is detached from reality. It’s La-La Land.”
