Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is seeking applicants to serve as prosecutors in her office, according to a Monday post on the social media site LinkedIn.

A Georgia appeals court threw Willis off a criminal case targeting President Donald Trump in a 2-1 ruling released in December, saying the trial court failed to “address the appearance of impropriety” stemming from a romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade. The announcement came as Willis is reportedly clashing with Fulton County officials over funding for her office.

“We’re hiring Assistant District Attorneys!” Willis posted on the business-oriented social media site. “If you’re a passionate prosecutor ready to serve the people of Fulton County with integrity and excellence, we want to hear from you.”

Willis accused multiple Fulton County commissioners of lying during an interview with Capital B Atlanta magazine over a funding dispute that Willis claims created a backlog of cases that has left over 100 people in the Fulton County jail for over 90 days without a formal indictment. Willis asked the commissioners for a $7 million budget increase, but was provided far less.

Willis denied wrongdoing in a Jan. 14, 2024, address at Big Bethel AME Church, accusing her critics of “playing the race card” while falsely claiming she paid outside prosecutors involved in the Trump case the same rate. Wade reportedly earned $250 an hour while working on the case against Trump, compared to $200 an hour for John Floyd, a RICO expert, as of May 2023, according to billing records obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

A grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, handed down indictments on Aug. 14, 2023, charging Trump and other associates over Trump’s efforts to contest the 2020 election results in that state. Willis claimed that Trump and others “made false statements concerning fraud in the November 3, 2020, presidential election” and included efforts to sway then-Vice President Mike Pence, officials in the Justice Department and state officials as the basis for criminal charges in the indictment.

Willis received campaign donations from business partners of Wade during her 2020 campaign to be Fulton County’s top prosecutor, then later awarded tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of contracts to the firm, according to county records.
