Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) is speaking out about the “cruelty” he is seeing directed at the family of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.).

On Tuesday, Boebert’s son, Tyler after a “recent string of vehicle trespass and property thefts.”

He is now facing 22 charges.

And on a post on X, Fetterman urged people not to be cruel.

“This is a family in crisis and the recreational cruelty I see on social media needs to be out of bounds,” Fetterman said.

He continued, “I know the impact this has on children. I’m calling for restraint because cruelty has substantial collateral damage.”

“We can’t ever forget that they didn’t sign up for this,” he added.

Tyler Boebert is reportedly facing four criminal counts for criminal possession of a financial device, four counts of criminal possession of ID documents, and a count of conspiracy to commit a felony.

Additionally, he is facing four misdemeanor counts of identity theft and three misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass.

Boebert’s family has been in the news quite frequently in recent years.

Her ex-husband was arrested twice, her other son Jayson was arrested in January, and in March 2023, she announced Tyler was having a baby with his girlfriend.

And last fall, the congresswoman was seen on camera getting handsy with her date at a theater.
