Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) took to Twitter to call Democrats “morons” after they voted to remove her from her committee assignments.
“I woke up early this morning literally laughing thinking about what a bunch of morons the Democrats (+11) are for giving some one like me free time,” Greene wrote on Twitter on Friday.
She added, “In this Democrat tyrannical government, Conservative Republicans have no say on committees anyway. Oh this is going to be fun!”

In this Democrat tyrannical government, Conservative Republicans have no say on committees anyway.
Oh this is going to be fun!
On Thursday night, House Democrats voted 230 -199 to strip Greene of her committee assignments, as IJR reported.
Eleven Republicans voted to back the resolution.
Greene told The Washington Examiner earlier this week the move to remove her from her committee assignments would actually help her.
“They don’t even realize they’re helping me. I’m pretty amazed at how dumb they are,” she said.
Greene continued, “Oh no, it doesn’t hurt me at all I think it’s going to give me more time on my hands, I think, which is fantastic because then I can gain more support, I can help really get Republicans running in these primaries and elections in 2022.”
House Republicans failed to punish Greene for her past controversial comments on Wednesday night, as IJR reported.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has received significant criticism for his failure to address Greene’s previous remarks adequately.
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) said, “I think it was a mistake.”
He added he “wish he would have” taken a stronger stand.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) argued his “failure to lead his party effectively hands the keys over to Greene – an anti-Semite, QAnon adherent and 9/11 Truther.”
Greene attempted to walk back on some of her earlier false claims on the House floor on Thursday before the vote.
She said “school shootings are absolutely real” and “9/11 absolutely happened.”
