Twitter users slammed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her claims about classified emails.
On Wednesday, Clinton tweeted, “I can’t believe we’re still talking about this, but my emails… As Trump’s problems continue to mount, the right is trying to make this about me again. There’s even a ‘Clinton Standard.’ The fact is that I had zero emails that were classified.”
She added, “Comey admitted he was wrong after he claimed I had classified emails. Trump’s own State Department, under two different Secretaries, found I had no classified emails.”

Trump’s own State Department, under two different Secretaries, found I had no classified emails.
Clinton continued, “That’s right: ZERO.”
She argued that “Trump has hundreds of documents clearly marked classified, and the investigation just started.”

This selfless public servant? used BleachBit to destroy more than 30,000 emails while she was under subpoena – then lied to Congress about doing it. https://t.co/IQHSq37Joj

Then why did you apologize? And why did Comey chastise you saying you had emails that compromised America secrets? How did a sex offender get your emails?

I saw you up close and you’re an awful human being. Many others saw it too. You’re an embarrassment to this country and your recklessness and corruption put the country at risk. Go away. https://t.co/FmAfzC3DEH
In 2016, CBS News reported the inspector general of the intelligence community told members of Congress in a letter that Clinton’s private email server “contained information that was classified at a higher level than ‘top secret.'”
Charles McCullough wrote that the server used by Clinton as secretary of state contained “several dozen emails containing classified information determined by the [intelligence community] element to be at the CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET, and TOP SECRET/SAP levels.”
The outlet noted SAP stands for special access programs.
Her campaign press secretary, Brian Fallon, issued a statement reiterating that she did not send or receive classified information through her private email server.
“This is the same interagency dispute that has been playing out for months, and it does not change the fact that these emails were not classified at the time they were sent or received,” he said.
Fallon added, “It is alarming that the intelligence community [inspector general], working with Republicans in Congress, continues to selectively leak materials in order to resurface the same allegations and try to hurt Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. The Justice Department’s inquiry should be allowed to proceed without any further interference.”
