CNN’s Jake Tapper was left shocked after a map showed Vice President Kamala Harris not outperforming President Joe Biden’s 2020 numbers in a single state.

Early Wednesday, Tapper asked CNN chief national correspondent John King if there were any places that Harris was outperforming Biden’s 2020 record.

“You asked are there any places that the vice president is overperforming Joe Biden in 2020, so we can show you that as well,” King said. “We just bring that out here. Harris overperforming 2020.”

The map showed Harris was failing to outperform Biden anywhere by 3% or more, per Mediaite.

“Holy smokes!” Tapper reacted. “Literally nothing?”

King responded, “Literally nothing.”

Tapper then asked, “Literally nothing. Literally not one county?” to which King responded the map showed states not counties.

The next slide showed Harris outperforming Biden by at least 3% in 58 counties, per Mediaite. That was at the time of the broadcast.

Donald Trump was declared the winner in the 2024 presidential election early Wednesday by the Associated Press.

Trump will be returning to the White House after he won Wisconsin, giving him more than the 270 electoral votes needed.
