Michigan Democrat Rep. Haley Stevens, who most Americans couldn’t pick out of a lineup if you paid them, just filed articles of impeachment against Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Yes, that RFK Jr., the environmental lawyer-turned-public health reformer who now apparently poses such a “grave” threat to America’s health system that Stevens felt compelled to launch what even her own party is calling a desperate publicity stunt.
According to The New York Times, Stevens accuses RFK Jr. of an “assault” on the public health system, allegedly constituting high crimes and misdemeanors. Her words. Not mine. It’s all very dramatic for someone trailing badly in a Democrat Senate primary against a pack of far-left progressives who’ve already claimed most of the activist oxygen. But sure, swing for the fences, Haley.
Let’s just pause for a moment and appreciate the irony here. After four years of Democrats weaponizing impeachment like it’s a party trick — remember the back-to-back Trump impeachments, where facts took a backseat to “resistance” hashtags? — now we’ve got a Democrat trying to impeach one of their own for the high crime of… cutting red tape, questioning outdated vaccine policies, and trying to make government programs slightly more efficient?
And the cherry on top? RFK Jr. is currently serving in President Trump’s cabinet. Yes, folks, in the greatest political twist since 2016, Donald J. Trump is back in the White House in 2025 with J.D. Vance as VP — and he appointed a Kennedy to lead HHS. You can practically hear D.C.’s permanent bureaucracy gasping into their kale smoothies.
Under Secretary Kennedy’s watch, HHS has actually been working — not just pushing out bloated CDC infographics or propping up pharma monopolies. He’s scrapped wasteful spending, revised vaccine recommendations based on updated science (yes, that’s allowed), and partnered with folks like Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins to clean up America’s food system — not with more federal overreach, but by empowering consumers and private industry. The guy even helped Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy clean up our chaotic airports. And this is the guy Haley Stevens thinks is destroying America?

Let’s call this what it is: a Hail Mary from a political also-ran who’s watching her Senate dreams slip away. And even Democrats are rolling their eyes. Stevens claimed she “consulted” with Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries about the move, but, shocker, he’s not backing her. Neither is anyone else in leadership. According to insiders, her colleagues see the move for what it is — a clumsy, self-serving leap to get her name in headlines. Spoiler alert: it’s working… just not in the way she hoped.
Even the HHS Communications Director, Andrew Nixon, called it what it is — a “partisan political stunt.” And he’s not wrong. You can almost feel the exhaustion in his statement. While Kennedy is busy doing the unthinkable — putting Americans first and actually governing — Stevens is out here LARPing as a constitutional scholar, slapping impeachment papers on a cabinet secretary because, apparently, updating outdated vaccine policy is now an impeachable offense.
Oh, and she had the audacity to claim she’s “not one for political theater.” That line deserves a standing ovation from the Congressional Drama Club. No ma’am, this isn’t about protecting public health — this is about grabbing headlines before you’re bounced out of your own primary.
Sure…

Should articles of impeachment against RFK Jr. be supported?— Anna Hoffman (@shoesonplease) December 10, 2025
RFK Jr. might not be everyone’s cup of tea — he’s said some controversial things over the years, no doubt — but what he hasn’t done is abuse his power, violate the Constitution, or, you know, actually commit any high crimes or misdemeanors. What he has done is shake up a public health bureaucracy that got far too comfortable making decisions behind closed doors while Americans paid the price.
Even other Democrats don’t care for her:
I’m old enough to remember when Democrats claimed to be for women’s rights.
Mallory McMorrow and Haley Stevens have consistently voted to replace women and girls with confused boys in sports, locker rooms and bathrooms.
Mike Rogers is the only candidate who stands for women. https://t.co/H9GiP6FRRX

So go ahead, Stevens. File your articles. Make your media rounds. Just don’t be surprised when your grand impeachment ends up exactly where it belongs: in the same trash bin as your Senate campaign flyers.
