Navarone Garibaldi, Lisa Marie Presley’s half-brother, paid tribute to her after her sudden death at 54.
On Saturday, he expressed his disbelief over the death of his older sister on his Instagram page. He also implied they were estranged prior to her passing.
He wrote:
“Big sister… i hope you are now at peace and happy with your Dad and your son by your side. I know the past couple years weren’t easy for you, and I wish things had been different between us. regardless, you are my sister and I’m sending love and prayers for your journey home. I still can’t believe this, I’m lost for words. Love you sis. Beijos.”
Garibaldi was born in 1987 when Lisa Marie Presley was 19 years old. He is the son of Priscilla Presley and film producer Marco Garibaldi.
Lisa Marie Presley — the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley — died on Jan. 12 after going into cardiac arrest.
On Thursday morning, her housekeeper found her unresponsive in her bedroom. Lisa Marie’s Presley’s ex-husband, Danny Keough, proceeded to perform CPR on her until medical personnel arrived. She was then rushed to the hospital, according to the New York Post.
That evening, Priscilla Presley posted an update on her daughter’s condition to her Instagram page.
“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers,” she wrote.
She added, “We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time. – Priscilla Presley.”
She later confirmed the tragic news of Lisa Marie Presley’s death in a statement to People.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss,” she said.
