In the aftermath of a devastating loss, the Reiner family is quietly drawing strength from one another — and from relatives who have stepped in to help guide them through the shock and grief.

According to Page Six, following the deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, members of Michele’s family have reportedly moved closer to the couple’s children to provide support during an unimaginably painful period.

An insider told Us Weekly on Monday that Michele’s sisters, Suzanne and Martine, have “stepped in” to help care for and support Jake Reiner and Romy Reiner as they try to process the sudden loss of both parents.

The sisters have also extended that support to Tracy Reiner, Rob’s adopted daughter from his marriage to the late Penny Marshall, according to the source.

“Tracy, Jake, and Romy are dealing with such an unimaginable loss right now, and there is so much for them to navigate amidst their grief,” the insider said.

The source emphasized the close bond Michele shared with her siblings, adding that Suzanne and Martine are grieving deeply.

“Michele was very close to her sisters,” the insider said, noting that the loss has rippled through the entire family.

Beyond immediate relatives, the family has reportedly been surrounded by an outpouring of compassion from friends and members of their wider community.

Should the Reiner family receive more community support during this crisis?

“The community has really come together for the family as well, because Rob and Michele had such a huge network of close friends,” the source said. “Everyone just wants to help in any way that they can.”

The insider also reflected on the couple’s legacy, describing Rob and Michele as people who quietly gave back throughout their lives.

“Rob and Michele did so much for so many people, often times things people don’t even know about,” the source added. “They were incredible people.”

As the family leans on extended support, siblings Romy and Jake have reportedly been a source of strength for one another. Romy, who will turn 28 on Dec. 27, and Jake, 34, are said to be navigating the days together as they confront life without their parents.

The tragedy has been compounded by the criminal investigation surrounding the deaths. Rob and Michele were found dead in their Brentwood-area home in Los Angeles on Dec. 14.

Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, has been accused of killing them. Authorities say Romy identified Nick as a person of interest when speaking with investigators.

Nick, who has a documented history of substance abuse and violence, was arrested the same day near a University of Southern California bus stop. He is currently being held at Twin Towers Correctional Facility.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 7.
