Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx was seen out boating Sunday. This is the first time he has been spotted in public since experiencing a “medical complication” in April.
TMZ posted a clip of Foxx waving to fans from his boat. They noted “recovery seems to be going very well, ’cause the guy’s out and about in public now.”
According to Variety, he was hospitalized in April due to a “medical complication.”
After much media speculation, his daughter, Corinne Foxx, responded to the situation in April. She noted in a post that has since been removed, “Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Although the mystery of just what that medical complication was remains unsolved, Foxx has received an outpouring of support from those within his inner circle and from fans, via People.
In May, he posted his thanks on Instagram. Foxx wrote, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”
His daughter even publicly noted that he was “recuperating” and “playing pickleball.”
But in June, People also reported that a source close to the actor stated, “He is getting the best care and working hard to recover right now, but he is still not himself.”
Foxx’s ‘They Cloned Tyrone’ co-star spoke up in response to this and said, “He’s doing well. And then, you know, we just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return.”
Now, his boating appearance is displaying his recovery. Jamie Foxx even tweeted about it after being silent on Twitter for nearly four months.
