Jazz great Chuck Mangione, best known for his ‘70s hit “Feels So Good,” died Tuesday.

The trumpeter was 84.

Mangione died on July 22 in his sleep at home in Rochester, New York, People reported.

The musician won two Grammys and garnered 14 nominations. He played the flugelhorn and trumpet.

More recently, he had a recurring role on the animated show King of the Hill. He played himself as a Mega Lo Mart celebrity spokesperson on the show.

His greatest success was achieved in 1977 when his jazz album “Feels So Good” rose to No. 2 on the Billboard albums chart.

Mangione was born and raised in Rochester, New York, and was inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame in 2012.

He won his first Grammy in 1977 for best instrumental composition for “Bellavia,” a song he wrote for his mother.

The second Grammy came two years later in 1979 for best pop instrumental performance for “Children of Sanchez.”

We lost Ozzy and Chuck on the same day. 🙁 when I was a child I couldn’t say “incredible”. So Mr. Mangione was always “Increbinina Chuck” to me. Chuck Mangione – Feels So Good (Nana's Journey Into Song, March 8th, 1979) https://t.co/qfd3MovYYq
