Actor Jeremy Renner shared how Paul Rudd showed him support while he was recovering from a snowplow accident.
During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Monday night, Renner said, “So, Rudd, who I love so much — he happened to be in town as well promoting his movie and he came by a couple times to the hospital, always just makin’ my day ’cause he’s one of the funniest guys around, right, Paul Rudd? And then he sent me a video message.”
He asked, “Anybody know ‘Cameo’? Where they can pay money and a movie star can say, ‘Hey, Happy Birthday!’ So he made a fake one.”
Renner told the host he “didn’t even ask him to. He made a fake one like I paid him money for a Cameo.”
Kimmel proceeded to play the video from Rudd.
“Hey Jerry, I heard you were a little banged up — got into a fight with a snow blower, apparently?” Rudd, joked, adding, “Anyway, I just wanted to send this video.”
He continued, “It’s really from the heart, and I hope you’re feeling better. It sounds like you are — apparently, you’re a pretty tough guy. So maybe I’ll get to meet you one day, and wouldn’t that be something?”
Concluding the message, Rudd said, “In the meantime, take care, and take it easy for a while. And next time, maybe just let the snow melt. Feel better, Jerry.”
Rudd’s message sparked laughter from Renner, Kimmel and the audience.

On New Year’s Day, Renner was crushed by a snowplow, CNN reported.
He suffered several injuries, including eight broken ribs, an eye socket, a knee and shoulder.
Dr. Christopher Vincent, a chiropractic sports physician, spoke with the network about Renner’s recovery.
“As unlucky as he is to have such a tragic injury, he is so lucky that the injuries are where they are,” Vincent told CNN.
Vincent added, “He’s pushing through it and really has the determination to not only heal but come back stronger and better than he was before.”
