Dr. Jill Biden is hitting back at President Donald Trump’s campaign after the president’s team targeted 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in an advertisement.
This week the Trump reelection campaign took aim at Biden, as it suggested in an advertisement that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities are declining. The former vice president is 77 years old and Trump is 74 years old.
When asked by “Today” show’s Savannah Guthrie about the advertisement suggesting Joe Biden has “lost a step or two” and if it is a “fair attack,” Jill Biden shot it down, “No, it’s ridiculous.”
She continued, “Joe’s on the phone every single minute of the day talking to governors who are calling him and Nancy Pelosi. He’s on the Zoom, he’s doing fundraisers, he’s doing briefings. He doesn’t stop from 9 in the morning until 11 at night, so that’s ridiculous.”

Guthrie then asked about confidence going into the election as polls are tightening, to which Jill Biden responded, “We’re not going to take any vote for granted. Joe and I are working as hard as we can every single day.”
Trump has touted that he “aced” a cognitive test and previously suggested Biden “give it a try.” The president also previously said on Twitter, “Nobody wants a Low IQ person in charge of our Country, and Sleepy Joe is definitely a Low IQ person!”
When asked recently during an interview if he has taken a cognitive test, Biden got testy with CBS News correspondent Errol Barnett, as IJR reported. Biden said on August 5, “No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test?”
Biden was officially nominated on Tuesday evening, as he looks to take on Trump in the upcoming presidential election on November 3.
