The host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Joe Scarborough, will not be returning to the Republican party anytime soon.
Scarborough appeared on “The View” alongside his wife and co-host Mika Brzezinski, where Ana Navarro asked him if the Republican party can recover from the past four years and if it could win “someone like” Scarborough back.
“They can’t win me back,” Scarborough said.
He criticized the Republican party for supporting Trump while he talked about creating a Muslim registry, threatening to throw his political opponent in jail, refusing to commit to a peaceful transfer of power, and lying about the threat of COVID-19.
“The Republican party keeps making fools of themselves by kowtowing to this guy. So I don’t know where I go. I’m not sure where you go. I don’t know where Al goes,” Scarborough said.

He explained Republicans are familiar with being called “Nazis” for supporting politicians like Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) and former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida. (00:00:59)
Scarborough joked he longs “for those good ol’ days.”
He argued Trump is a “fascist” because he has called on his supporters to commit acts of violence, allegedly considered arresting his political opponents, and undermined “constitutional norms” by claiming Article II of the Constitution grants him unlimited power.
“My Republican Party, the Republican Party of my youth, remains silent. I can never go back there,” Scarborough said.
He continued, “So the question is, do I remain an independent for the rest of my life? Do we have an expanding Democratic Party where Democrats welcome conservatives and welcome suburban voters that helped elect Joe Biden this time? I mean I think that’s the big question.”
President Donald Trump has not been afraid to criticize Scarborough, as IJR previously reported.
He called Scarborough’s show “poorly rated Morning Psycho” in a tweet in April.
