Actor Johnny Depp is dating his lawyer, according to a report.
Page Six reported Depp is dating Joelle Rich.
The outlet noted Rich represented Depp in his UK libel trial.
Rich, a London-based lawyer, is reportedly married but separated.
Her divorce may not have been finalized at this time, as Page Six reported.
An insider told Us Weekly the couple’s “chemistry is off the charts,” adding, “It’s serious between them. They are the real deal.”
Us Weekly pointed out Rich was not included on the team who represented Depp in his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
However, she was present in the courtroom to support him.
“There was no professional obligation for her being there. It was personal,” the source explained.
According to the source, Depp and Rich “discreetly” met up in hotels during the early stages of their relationship.
Romance rumors previously spread of Depp having a relationship with a lawyer who worked on his defamation trial against Heard.
Attorney Camille Vasquez shut the rumors down during an interview with People in June.
“I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job,” Vasquez said.
She continued, “It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny — who is a friend and I’ve known and represented for four-and-a-half years now — that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear.”
Vasquez told the outlet she cares “very deeply about my clients, and we have obviously become close. But when I say we, I mean the entire team, and of course that includes Johnny.”
She added, “And, I’m Cuban and Colombian. I’m tactile. What do you want me to say? I hug everyone. And I’m not ashamed about that.”
