Democratic Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff has surged ahead of his Republican challengers in the most recent fundraising quarter of the Peach State’s 2026 Senate race.

Ossoff notched a fundraising haul of about $12 million from July through September, according to a Wednesday disclosure to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). This number is more than double the combined amount of the top three Republican candidates’ fundraising hauls during the same period of time.

“Republicans are already spending millions of dollars targeting Senator Ossoff yet our campaign continues to build an unstoppable grassroots coalition to win next November,” Ellen Foster, Ossoff’s campaign manager, said in a statement provided to the Daily Caller News Foundation. “We remain grateful for small-dollar donors who are powering us to victory.”

By comparison, Republican Georgia Rep. Mike Collins raised $1.7 million for his Senate campaign from July to September, he disclosed to the FEC on Wednesday. Meanwhile, former football coach Derek Dooley disclosed Wednesday that he raised $1.87 million for his campaign during the third quarter of 2025.

Moreover, Republican Georgia Rep. Buddy Carter reported Wednesday that he raised $939,579 through the end of September.

“While Jon Ossoff relies on millions of dollars from California crazies and New York nutjobs, Collins is the only Republican campaign fueled by over 40,000 donors from all 50 states and all 159 counties in Georgia, and is best equipped to defeat him next November,” a spokesperson for Collins’ campaign said in a statement provided to the DCNF.

Should Jon Ossoff be reelected in the 2026 Georgia Senate race?

Carter’s campaign did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

“Jon Ossoff shares the same far-left donors as disgraced Virginia AG candidate Jay Jones and radical leftist [Democratic New York City mayoral nominee] Zohran Mamdani,” Connor Whitney, a spokesperson for Dooley’s campaign, told the DCNF in a statement. “It’s no surprise he’s cashing their checks and then turning his back on Georgians as he votes in lockstep with his D.C. bosses: AOC [Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] and [Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer.”

“Meanwhile, Derek Dooley is on the ground traveling across the state, listening to the needs of hardworking Georgians, and doing what it takes to earn the support of every Georgia voter,” Whitney added.

President Donald Trump has yet to endorse any GOP candidates in the Georgia Senate race, but said Wednesday that “some very good people” are running, Atlanta News First reported. Additionally, Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp endorsed Dooley in the race in late August, saying he sees Dooley as the best-positioned candidate to win against Ossoff.

Ossoff is notably viewed as one of the most vulnerable incumbent Senate Democrats up for reelection in the 2026 midterm election cycle. The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), Senate Republicans’ campaign arm, have released ads this year targeting Ossoff, without backing one of his GOP opponents.

The nonpartisan Cook Political Report rated the upcoming Georgia Senate race as a “tossup,” according to an Oct. 14 news release. Georgia is expected to be one of the top most expensive campaign states in the U.S. in 2026.
