Former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, is joining Fox News as a contributor.
“Let’s bring in Lara Trump, former senior adviser for the Trump campaign, and we have a big announcement. She is a new Fox News contributor. Welcome to the family, Lara,” host Ainsley Earhardt announced on Monday.
Lara Trump said following the announcement, “Well, I’m so excited, first of all, to be joining the Fox family, I sort of feel like I’ve been an unofficial member of the team for so long.”
She continued, “You guys know it was kind of a joke over the past five years, I would come there so often that the security guards were like, maybe we should just give you a key. To be part of the team, I’m so, so excited.”

During an appearance on Fox News earlier this month, Lara Trump revealed she is mulling a Senate run, as IJR reported.
Host Sean Hannity asked Lara Trump if she is “considering possibly running” for a North Carolina Senate seat.
Lara Trump replied, “Yeah, well I absolutely am. Look, North Carolina, it’s not just my home state, it’s my home, it’s where all my family lives, it’s really the state that made me the woman I am today.”
She added, “Nothing would be a bigger honor for me than to represent the people of my home and of my home state, and it’s something I’m taking really seriously.”
According to Lara Trump, she gets “asked about it a lot” and explained, “I’ve really been so flattered by so many of these polls that have come out.”
Talking about her plans in the meantime, Lara Trump added she is “taking a step back, really assessing things, taking it very seriously but, you know, taking a little time to spend with my kids, with my husband.”
