Two deputies and an officer have been suspended after they were captured on video beating a suspect.

The video shows the officers punching the suspect in the head, slamming his head into the ground and kneeing him repeatedly.

One of the officers can be seen pointing toward the camera appearing to order the person to stop recording.

Crawford County Sheriff Jimmy Damante issued a statement Sunday evening following the incident, as USA Today reported.

Damante said two county deputies would be suspended while the Arkansas state police investigates.

A Mulberry police officer has also been suspended.

“I hold all my employees accountable for their actions and will take appropriate measures in this matter,” Damante said.

Mulberry Police Chief Shannon Gregory also said the city and the department “takes these investigations very seriously.”

The outlet noted that a report showed a man was threatening an employee at a convenience store in Mulberry, Arkansas, on Sunday morning.

The man who was arrested was later identified as Randall Worcester, 27, of Goose Creek, South Carolina.

Law enforcement reportedly brought Worcester to a hospital and then booked him at a county jail.

Was suspending them the right decision?

The video sparked several reactions.

One user tweeted, “When someone says that only the police should have ‘weapons of war’, these are who they’re talking about. When someone says that the 2nd amendment is about fighting against tyrants, these are who they’re talking about.”

Another wrote, “Horrific police violence in the US against a man lying defenceless on the ground. We’ve seen this before, haven’t we? So we’ll also be seeing mass protests around the world against this, right?”

The tweet continues, “Oh wait, no, the victim is the wrong colour. Nothing to see here. Move along.”

I assume all those conservatives outraged by the FBI performing a peaceful lawful search of a serial fraudster and tax cheat who was illegally keeping classified documents will be proportionately outraged by this attempted murder by the cops. https://t.co/K89deXnvPG
