Former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) has a new job.
Gaetz, who stepped down from his place in the House of Representatives when President-elect Donald Trump nominated him for attorney general — a post he withdrew his name from consideration — will now work for One America News Network, per Politico.
Gaetz will host an hourlong political talk show on OAN, a far right channel that supports Trump.
OAN is introducing the show by calling Gaetz a “powerhouse” and a a “mega MAGA investment,” according to its website.
“The Matt Gaetz Show” will air at 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. It will start airing in January.
Gaetz will also co-host a video podcast with Dan Ball, host of “Real America with Dan Ball.”
The network said the podcast will feature “unfiltered conversations” for Gen Z, Millennials and early Gen Xers.
“Gaetz has earned a reputation as a relentless champion of conservative values, taking on entrenched Washington bureaucrats and exposing government overreach,” the network said on its website. “His knack for connecting with grassroots Americans and shaking up the status quo makes him a dynamic and timely addition to OAN’s team.”
Gaetz, in turn, lauded the network for being in places “where Americans are going” such as streaming, apps and podcasts.
Gaetz has come under fire recently in light of a House Ethics Committee report regarding allegations against him involving illegal drug use and sex with a 17-year-old.
Gaetz has denied the allegations. No charges came from a Department of Justice investigation into the matter.
