Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is criticizing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) for “juvenile behavior” that she thinks a “middle schooler would engage in.”

Ocasio-Cortez received criticism for celebrating the new year in Florida without a mask. She responded in a tweet, saying, “If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos.”

When asked for her thoughts on Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet, McEnany called Florida “a great place for an important reason.”

She continued, “It was a remarkable contrast during COVID-19 when I would travel to New York and then come to Florida and see the contrast of people outside, living their life, walking out in the sun, going to the beach versus New York City where AOC hails from.”

McEnany went on to encourage Ocasio-Cortez to vacation in Florida, adding, “But realize why you love this state so much…One other thing I’ll say is you’re a sitting United States congresswoman in the United States House of Representatives. You represent nearly 700,000 people.

She added, “You are the titular head of the left and an important, powerful wing of the Democrat Party. And you are engaging in juvenile behavior, saying, Republicans are mad they cannot date you AOC. Come on now, tweet something befitting of your position as a United States congresswoman, not this juvenile behavior that I think a middle schooler would engage in.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) also reacted to Ocasio-Cortez’s visit to Florida, as IJR reported.

“If I had a dollar for every lockdown politician who decided to escape to Florida over the last two years, I’d be a pretty doggone wealthy man,” DeSantis said.

He added, “I mean, Congresspeople, mayors, governors, I mean you name it. And it’s interesting, though, the reception that some of these folks will get in Florida. Because I think a lot of Floridians say, ‘Wait a minute, you’re bashing us because we’re not doing your draconian policies, and yet we’re the first place you want to flee to to basically be able to enjoy life.’ And so, I’m not surprised to see that continuing to happen.”
