Melania Trump is ready to hit the ground running as she returns as first lady.
Melania Trump sat down with Fox News to talk about her plan.
“I will continue with ‘Be Best’ and also, I will expand ‘Be Best,’” she said.
Melania Trump started the Be Best initiative during her husband, President-elect Donald Trump’s first stay in the Oval Office from 2016 and 2020.
She notes she did not have much help in the first go-around.
“I started in the first administration. I didn’t have much support from anyone,” she said. “I invited all of the streaming platforms to the White House. I had the round table. I didn’t have much support from them.”
Melania Trump lamented if she would have had that support.
“Imagine what we could do in those years if they will rally behind me and teach the children and protect them about the social media and mental health,” she added.
Donald Trump starts his second administration on Jan. 20.
She also talked about how she struggled to be accepted, per the outlet.
“I feel I was always me the first time as well. I just feel that people didn’t accept me. Maybe they didn’t understand me the way maybe they do now, and I didn’t have much support,” she said.
“Maybe some people, they see me as just the wife of the president, but I’m standing on my own two feet, independent,” she said. “I have my own thoughts. I have my own ‘yes and no.’ I don’t always agree with [what] my husband is saying or doing, and that’s okay.”
“I give him my advice. And sometimes he listens. Sometimes he doesn’t. And that’s OK,” Melania Trump added.
