Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, is mocking the former president after the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) revealed the probe into his organization is now criminal.
Cohen tweeted on Wednesday a photoshopped picture of Trump behind bars with the caption, “As more documents are reviewed by the [New York Attorney General] and [New York District Attorney], it appears that the troubles for Donald [Trump] will keep on coming! Soon enough, Donald and Associates will be held responsible for their actions.”

In a statement on Tuesday, James announced her office is “actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA.”
In 2019, Cohen told Congress, “Trump inflated his total assets when it served his purpose, such as trying to be listed among the wealthiest people in Forbes and deflated his assets to reduce his real estate taxes.”
Trump took to his website to issue his own statement on the matter, as IJR reported.
“There is nothing more corrupt than an investigation that is in desperate search of a crime. But, make no mistake, that is exactly what is happening here. The Attorney General of New York literally campaigned on prosecuting Donald Trump even before she knew anything about me,” he said.
The former president added, “If you can run for a prosecutor’s office pledging to take out your enemies, and be elected to that job by partisan voters who wish to enact political retribution, then we are no longer a free constitutional democracy.”
Trump also claimed, “All I do is get unfairly attacked and abused by a corrupt political system.”
