Christina Applegate says daily life has narrowed to a painful routine as she continues her fight with multiple sclerosis.

According to Page Six, the actress shared that she is largely confined to her bed, pushing herself to get up mainly for one reason — taking her teenage daughter to school and activities.

“I want to take her; it’s my favorite thing to do. It’s the only time we have together by ourselves,” she said. “I tell myself, ‘Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.’ And that’s what I do.”

The 54-year-old explained that the reality of her illness has stripped away any pretense.

“My life isn’t wrapped up with a bow,” she said. “People’s lives, sorry for lack of a better term, f–king suck sometimes. So I’m being as honest and raw as I possibly can.”

Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in August 2021. The condition can cause weakness, numbness, difficulty walking, and vision problems, symptoms she has spoken about publicly in recent years.

“It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a–hole blocks it,” she wrote on X.

Should Christina Applegate continue prioritizing daily outings with her daughter despite her health struggles?

She has continued to update fans on her health, including a hospitalization last summer when she said she was “screaming” in pain and later learned she had a kidney infection.

The disease has also changed her relationship with her daughter, Sadie, whom she shares with husband Martyn LeNoble.

“I see her look at me when I’m in bed and can’t quite move, or I wanna go say goodnight to her in her room, but I can’t quite get down the hallway for whatever reason that my legs aren’t working that day,” she said on her podcast.

Applegate described the experience as her daughter “losing the mom she had,” recalling a time when she was “healthy, and a runner, and a Pelotoner and a dancer.”

Despite the challenges, she said Sadie has stepped in to help her navigate public outings and manage her cane.

“Right now I can barely get to bathroom, it’s the worst, but that’s neither here nor there,” Applegate added.

For now, she said, those brief car rides together remain the highlight of her day — even if they end with a return to bed.
