Share

A guest on MSNBC is sparking conversation for comments about that person’s transgender identity.

Activist Charlotte Clymer, who is transgender, appeared on “The ReidOut” Wednesday night and sparked some controversy online.

“I would challenge anyone just to get to know trans people. We are a vibrant, diverse community as diverse as anyone else,” Clymer said, adding, “I’m from the great state of Texas. I served in the military, I go to church every Sunday. My faith is very important to me.”

The next portion of the activist’s comments sparked outrage among conservatives:

“God made me in her image. God made me transgender.”

Host Joy Reid asked for Clymer’s reaction to The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles’ assertion that “transgenderism” should be “eradicated,” and Fox News’ Tucker Carlson’s claim the “trans movement” is Christianity’s “natural enemy.”

Clymer responded, “I can’t see Christ in their words, that’s for damn sure. I can’t see the Biblical principles of loving your neighbor and walking the walk with Christ that they can see. I can’t see what they’re seeing now, because that’s not of Christ.”
