Tesla CEO Elon Musk is suggesting a different name for former President Donald Trump’s social media platform.
Musk tweeted early Wednesday morning, “Truth Social is currently beating Twitter [and] TikTok on the Apple Store.”
He also posted a screenshot that showed Trump’s Truth Social sitting at the No. 1 spot.
Twitter was right below it in the second place spot.

Musk later poked fun at the name of Trump’s platform.
“Truth Social (terrible name) exists because Twitter censored free speech,” he wrote.
He suggested, “Should be called Trumpet instead!”

On Monday, Twitter announced that it had accepted Musk’s offer to buy the company for around $44 billion, as IJR reported.
In a statement, Musk said, “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.”
“I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it,” he added.
His acquisition of the company has sparked concern among some that Trump will be allowed back on Twitter.
For his part, Trump told CNBC on Monday, “I won’t be going back on Twitter.”
“I will be on Truth Social within the week. It’s on schedule. We have a lot of people signed up,” he continued.
Finally, Trump said, “I like Elon Musk. I like him a lot. He’s an excellent individual. We did a lot for Twitter when I was in the White House.”
“I was disappointed by the way I was treated by Twitter. I won’t be going back on Twitter,” he added.
