Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier is speaking out after being ousted from his position as commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado.
Fox News’s Sean Hannity noted on Monday that Lohmeier was removed from his position after “he made explosive revelations about the increasing presence of Marxist and critical race theory ideologies inside the U.S. Military.”
Hannity pointed out Lohmeier consulted with “superiors about how this critical race theory push was causing unnecessary divisions inside our armed forces.”
Lohmeier claimed he began to see an “increasing relevance” of Marxist ideology “parading around by other names.”
He noted Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin issued guidance giving an injunction to service members to “combat extremist ideologies within the force where they saw them and to take it upon ourselves to protect one another and to speak up and educate one another about extremist ideologies when we discover them causing divisions within the force.”

Lohmeier explained something the Department of Defense does well is make it clear it has no tolerance for discrimination “of any kind.”
“So that’s the standard right and so to that end, I’ve made that very clear to my own people that in the light of a hyper-politicized environment that I’ve seen since taking command, that I’m no longer in command, I will not tolerate any discrimination of any kind based on politics,” he continued.
The former commander’s comments were made during an appearance on the “Information Operation” podcast while he was promoting his new book, “Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military.”
Claiming he was not being partisan, Lohmeier told Fox News, “It is not politically partisan to expose or attack critical race theory or Marxism.”
“The reason I say that is because Critical Race Theory and Marxism are antithetical to American values. Critical race theory fuels narratives that attack America’s founding documents,” he added.
According to CNN, “Critical race theory recognizes that systemic racism is part of American society and challenges the beliefs that allow it to flourish.”
Arguing he is “being misportrayed online,” Lohmeier said, “I don’t criticize any leader, or any person in the DoD (Department of Defense) or any elected officials — but I try to tee up ideas that I think are toxic.”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called the move “troubling” in a post on Twitter Sunday.
