Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ mom, Randi Mahomes, showed support for her son with a throwback photo before the Super Bowl game on Feb. 12.
On Thursday, Randi Mahomes shared a photo of her son on her Instagram page.
“This feels like yesterday but today I’m headed off to watch (try too ) my boy. Cheering for my kids never gets old. I wouldn’t have it any other way #chiefs #15 #ibelieve #blessed,” she wrote in the caption.
In an exclusive 2020 interview with Fox 4, Randi Mahomes said she always believed in her first-born son.

“I knew when it came to sports he was going to be able to reach whatever level he wanted,” she said.
However, she revealed that at one point, he no longer wanted to play football in high school anymore.
“Before his junior year in high school, he came to me that summer wanting to quit football. But I just said ‘you’re going to regret it if you quit,'” she told him.
Although Patrick Mahomes is now a football superstar, the mom of three said she still just looks at him as her son.
“I don’t think it’s really hit me because he’s still my son,” she explained. “He is still Patrick and my other two are still my kids. I don’t look at him any differently today than I did five years ago.”
When it comes to her son’s thriving football career, Randi Mahomes has counted her blessings.
“I am very, very proud,” she said. “I always say we’re blessed. He’s blessed to be able to do his dream — to live doing exactly what he loves.”
Patrick Mahomes married his high school sweetheart, Brittany Matthews, in March 2022. The couple welcomed a daughter named Sterling in 2021. In May, they announced in a joint Instagram post they are expecting their second child.
