Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is lavishing praise on President Joe Biden’s leadership abilities.
During a discussion at the South by Southwest festival, the California Democrat said, “He’s absolutely a magnificent leader.”
“He is younger than I am, so I don’t know what the problem is,” she added in an apparent reference to questions about Biden’s age.
Finally, she seemed to support him running for re-election in 2024, saying, “I hope that he will soon make some announcement.”

Pelosi is 82 years old while Biden is 80.
The president has stated he intends to run for re-election but has not made an official announcement yet.
However, First Lady Jill Biden told The Associated Press her husband is “pretty much” ready to announce his re-election campaign.
“How many times does he have to say it for you to believe it?” the first lady asked.
She added, “He says he’s not done. He’s not finished what he’s started. And that’s what’s important.”
Jill Biden acknowledged she is a key adviser for the president because, “I’m his wife.”
She said, “Of course, he’ll listen to me, because we’re a married couple.”
However, she stressed, “He makes up his own mind, believe me.”
Still, there are questions about Joe Biden’s age as he would be 86 at the end of a potential second term.
During an interview with ABC’s David Muir, the president denied questions about whether his age would play a role in whether he runs for re-election.
Still, he said, “It’s legitimate for people to raise issues about my age. It’s totally legitimate to do that. And the only thing I can say is watch me.”
