House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced on Wednesday that there will be seven impeachment managers to present the case against the president in the Senate’s impeachment trial.

Among those who will be the impeachment managers include House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).

Additionally, the other House members include:

  • Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.)
  • Rep. Val Demings (D-Fla.)
  • Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-Texas)
  • Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.)
  • Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.)

Trump responded to the news of the impeachment managers via Twitter, as he called it “another Con Job by the Do Nothing Democrats.”

“Here we go again, another Con Job by the Do Nothing Democrats,” he wrote, adding, “All of this work was supposed to be done by the House, not the Senate!”

The House will vote Wednesday on a resolution to send the impeachment articles to the Senate — the articles were passed on Dec. 18 in the House. The two articles charge Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

The secretary of the Senate is expected to receive the articles around 5 p.m. on Wednesday. As Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said on Tuesday, the Republican-controlled Senate expects to start the trial on Jan. 21.
