Ramaswamy Plans to Leave DOGE

ABC News is reporting that Republican businessman Vivek Ramaswamy is planning to throw his hat in the ring for Ohio governor.

As such, he will leave his post in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

This news is according to two sources familiar with the situation.

Ramaswamy is expected to announce his run for governor next week, the sources said.

President Donald Trump named Ramaswamy and billionaire Elon Musk to lead the newly created DOGE.

The goal of the new department is to slash government spending.

On Friday, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine named Lt. Gov. Jon Husted to fill the Senate seat being vacated by JD Vance becoming vice president, per the New York Times.
