Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is opening up about a frightening diagnosis — and using it to deliver a blunt message to her followers.
According to Fox News, the “Jersey Shore” star shared in a seven-minute TikTok that she has been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer after receiving results from a colon biopsy.
“My results came back from my colon biopsy … and it came back stage 1 cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma,” she said. “Obviously not the news I’ve been hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early. Thank freaking God!”
Polizzi, 38, said the early detection is critical and credited years of abnormal Pap smear results for leading doctors to the discovery.
“I’ve been struggling with abnormal Pap smears for three or four years now, and now look at me,” she said.
She urged women not to delay screenings out of fear.
“So get your appointments done, b—-es! I’m telling you!” she said. “Once you go to stage 2, then I think you have to do chemo … nobody wants to do that! It’s scary. So get your appointments done.”
According to Polizzi, the next step is a PET scan to determine whether the cancer has spread. After that, she expects to undergo a hysterectomy.
“Cancer is in there, but it’s stage 1, and it’s curable,” she said.
She noted that chemotherapy and radiation were presented as options, but said she believes surgery is “the smart choice,” adding that doctors plan to leave her ovaries intact if possible.
The reality star also spoke about the emotional toll and the isolation many women feel when facing similar diagnoses.
“A lot of women go through it silently without anyone to talk to, and they’re scared by themselves. And that was me until I decided to upload the video about what was happening with me,” she said.
“I like that we have a platform here to talk about it with each other. I appreciate all of the love. Everything’s going to be fine. I’m going to tackle this and get it done.”
Fans and fellow cast members flooded her comments with support. Sammi Giancola wrote, “The strongest woman, love you!”
Others said her openness pushed them to schedule overdue appointments, with one commenter writing, “I haven’t had a ap in over 8 years. I just got off the phone with my OBGYN. Thank you for sharing!”
Polizzi first told followers in January that she was undergoing a colonoscopy and biopsy, again stressing the importance of regular Pap smears.
