The Secret Service is in full damage-control mode after one of its agents assigned to Vice President JD Vance was caught on camera leaking sensitive security details — during what he thought was a romantic date.
Turns out, the woman across the table wasn’t a hopeful match. She was an undercover journalist working with conservative media activist James O’Keefe. And what she captured on tape has shaken the agency tasked with protecting America’s highest leaders.
According to a bombshell video released by O’Keefe’s team, the unidentified agent revealed key information about Vance’s travel schedule and high-level security procedures — going so far as to show his badge, share personal photos from Air Force Two, and admit he was violating his non-disclosure agreements. All this, while chatting casually over drinks.
It gets worse. The agent, who’s reportedly been with the service since the Biden years, not only disclosed sensitive tactics but also got political. He admitted to voting for Joe Biden and trash-talked immigration enforcement, saying, “I hate that ICE s***.”
The fallout was immediate. The Secret Service confirmed the agent has been placed on administrative leave, his clearance suspended, and an internal investigation is now underway.
Deputy Director Matthew Quinn apologized directly to the Vance family, calling the incident a serious breach of trust and privacy.
Quinn also announced all Secret Service personnel will now be required to retake anti-espionage training. In an internal memo cited by O’Keefe, Quinn admitted the agent was “deliberately targeted and manipulated” by a media organization posing as a private citizen — but that doesn’t soften the consequences.

The timing of the scandal couldn’t be worse. Just days earlier, a hammer-wielding intruder smashed four windows at Vance’s Cincinnati home in an attempted break-in. The suspect, William DeFoor, was arrested by Secret Service agents after vandalizing the property and damaging a federal vehicle. Vance and his family weren’t home during the incident.
On X, Vance confirmed the attack and thanked law enforcement, adding, “A crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows… We weren’t even home.”
Now, the agency is reeling. One of its own fell for a trap — and in doing so, may have endangered the very people he was sworn to protect. As questions swirl about recruitment, training, and political bias within the ranks, Americans are left asking: Can the Secret Service still be trusted to do its job?
