Legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan died after suffering a heart attack.
Hogan, whose real name was Terrence Gene Bollea, died July 24 at 71.
People reported the cause of death was a acute myocardial infarction — also known as a heart attack.
According to medical records obtained by People, had a history of leukemia and atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation disorder that causes irregular heart beats.
Hogan’s leukemia diagnosis was not previously public knowledge. Leukemia is a form of cancer that affects white blood cells, the outlet reported.
Records show Hogan was to be cremated.
Police and medics responded to Hogan’s Clearwater, Florida, home at 9:51 a.m. The call was for a person suffering cardiac arrest.
First responders attempted to revive Hogan before he was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Hogan’s legacy spans generations — he was a six-time WWE champion, a two-time Royal Rumble winner, and a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, both individually and as part of the NWO. He also held titles in WCW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, IJR previously reported.
More recently, Hogan made a big impression in the political world when he spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention in support of President Donald Trump.
