Twitter owner Elon Musk is opening up about whether he regrets his vote for the president in the 2020 election.
CNBC’s David Faber noted the billionaire businessman voted for President Joe Biden and asked if he regrets his decision.
“I mean… I wish we could have just a normal human being as president. That’s what I want,” Musk responded.
Faber said, “Obviously you’re not happy with Biden.”
“Don’t we all just want a normal human being as president?” Musk asked.

He went on:
“I think somebody’s executive ability is underrated since the president is effectively chief executive officer of the country — it actually matters they’re a good executive officer. It’s not simply a matter of do they share your beliefs, but are they good at getting things done? There’s a lot of decisions that need to be made every day, many of them are unrelated to moral beliefs. And you just want a good executive.”
During an interview in May 2022 on the “All In” podcast, Musk criticized Biden’s immigration policies as he suggested he had kept similar policies as former President Donald Trump.
“It’s hard to tell what Biden is doing, to be totally frank,” Musk insisted.
He continued, “The real president is whoever controls the teleprompter. The path to power is the path to the teleprompter, cause he reads the teleprompter.”
He also argued, “[Biden’s] administration doesn’t seem to get a lot done…The Trump administration, leaving Trump aside, there were a lot of people in the administration who were effective at getting things done.”
“This administration seems just to not have like the drive to get sh*t done. That’s my impression,” he added.
