Former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is urging Americans to stay at home amid the coronavirus outbreak.

On Sunday, the former actor took to Twitter with his two pets —a miniature horse named Whiskey and a donkey Lulu. With the video announcement, he asked everyone to “stay home as much as possible.”

Schwarzenegger tweeted, “Stay at home as much as possible. Listen to the experts, ignore the morons (foreheads). We will get through this together.”

He went on to stress the importance of taking the recommended precautions seriously while noting the curfew in California and growing concern for people over the age of 65.

“See, the important thing is you stay at home,” Schwarzenegger said, adding, “because there is a curfew now.”

“Nobody is allowed out, especially someone that is like 72 years old. After you’re 65, you’re not allowed out of the house anymore in California. So we eat at home.”

Schwarzenegger’s Twitter announcement follows the announcement of multiple restrictions across the state of California. With more than 400 positive cases statewide, officials have announced the closure of bars, nightclubs, entertainment venues, gyms, and restaurants —with the exception of takeout and delivery options.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti also announced a suspension on evictions promising local residents they wouldn’t lose their homes “because you can’t make the rent.” He’s also working with local officials to see if it is possible to incorporate a similar type of moratorium for commercial properties.

“Our decisions will determine the fate of our loved ones, the length of this crisis,” Garcetti said. “We need to take these steps to protect our city right now…The work we do now will have an impact on the city’s history. We need to do everything now to stop the spread of this virus.”
