Matthew LeBlanc issued a farewell tribute to his former “Friends” co-star, Matthew Perry, who passed away suddenly in October.
In a post on Instagram, the actor who played Joey Tribbiani, the best friend and roommate of Perry’s, Chandler Bing, wrote that he was saying “goodbye.”
“Matthew,” LeBlanc wrote. “It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life.”

“It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend,” LeBlanc continued. “I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never.”
LeBlanc added, “Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love.”
On Oct. 28, Perry was discovered dead in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home after he reportedly drowned.
Days after Perry’s passing, his “Friends” co-stars, Jennifer Anniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and LeBlanc issued a joint statement to People.
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew,” the statement said. “We were more than just cast mates. We are a family.”
They added that there was “so much to say,” but at the moment they wanted “to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”
In his statement on Instagram, LeBlanc jokingly added, “And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”
