Meadows is firing back at state attorney generals.

Meadows argues the country will see a delay in results if states move to "universal mail-in ballots."

"If we can start a discussion on what we agree upon, then that would be a good foundation to actually reach some kind of an agreement in the short term."

On Friday, an extra $600 per week in supplemental unemployment benefits is due to expire.

"So the president has been very clear, our Republican senators have been very clear, we're not going to extend that provision."

Meadows did not give details and did not say when the executive orders would be signed.

"We’re allowing our governors and our local mayors to weigh in on that."

"Lowey agreed to follow up in the morning with details. Those details were never received."

Meadows in now Trump's fourth chief of staff.
