Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) would not help former President Donald Trump win support among Black voters, according to a co-host of ABC’s “The View.”
During a segment on Friday, the co-hosts debated which potential candidate would help Trump as his running mate.
Sunny Hostin chimed in, “Just to speak for African American voters, if anyone thinks that Tim Scott is going to bring over a bunch of black men, they really need to get with it.”
“Because Tim Scott is the only African American senator in the Republican Party for a reason,” she added.

Conservative co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out there are many Democrat senators who are Black.
However, Hostin countered, “But we have people like Hakeem Jeffries. We have people like Cory Booker. We have people like Senator Kamala Harris, who’s now the vice president of the United States. We have former President Obama.”
