“Good Morning America” Co-host TJ Holmes filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years.
On Wednesday, Holmes filed a petition for divorce from his wife, Marilee Fiebig, according to court records acquired by USA TODAY. The couple got married in 2010 and have a nine-year-old daughter together.
The petiton for divorce comes after photos of Holmes and his co-host Amy Robach were released of them holding hands in a car and cozying up together in a bar.
Both were seemingly still married at the time, which sparked media attention.
Robach has been married to her husband Andrew Shue since 2010.
Earlier this month, a source spoke to People about the couple’s alleged affair.
“There were rumors they were having an affair about a year ago. A lot of people believed there might have been some truth to it, because you can see there’s a mutual affection there. But everyone ultimately chalked it up to friendship because they always said they were both happily married,” the source revealed.
Another source told People their relationship didn’t start until after they both separated from their respective spouses.
“This was two consenting adults who were each separated. They both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other. The relationship didn’t start until after that,” the source explained.
Another source confirmed to People both Holmes and Robach were temporarily suspended from hosting the show after their relationship was made public.
“GMA decided to have a period of cooling down, because they thought this was unwanted attention,” an insider says. “So, for the time being, they’re going to be off the air,” the source said.
Both Holmes and Robach have yet to address the scandal and were photographed together on Monday in an airport, in Atlanta, Georgia, per E! News.
“Both T.J. and Amy are trying to keep a low profile and let the dust settle,” a source told the outlet.
