Former President Donald Trump says he “became worse” after being impeached twice.
At the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Sunday, Trump touched on previous calls for the impeachment of former Attorney General Bill Barr.
“He became a different man when the Democrats viciously stated that they wanted to impeach him,” Trump told attendees in Dallas, Texas.
He continued, “They went wild. We want to impeach him. We’re gonna impeach Bill Barr. We’re gonna impeach him. He became different.”
“I didn’t become different. I got impeached twice. I became worse,” Trump added as the crowd cheered. “I became worse.”

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, said in June of 2020, “We should pursue impeachment of Bill Barr because he is reigning terror on the rule of law.” Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.) backed Cohen’s call.
In a historic move, the House of Representatives impeached Trump for the second time in January. He was impeached on the charge of “incitement of insurrection” a week after the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
The U.S. Senate acquitted Trump on the charge in February.
The Senate also acquitted Trump in February 2020. He was impeached for obstruction of Congress and abuse of power in December 2019.
