President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind both Republican candidates running for Governor of Arizona.
In a post to Truth Social, Trump stated he was supporting both Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) and Karrin Taylor Robson, after previously endorsing Robson when she was the lone candidate.
“I like Karrin Taylor Robson of Arizona a lot, and when she asked me to Endorse her, with nobody else running, I Endorsed her, and was happy to do so,” Trump said. “When Andy Biggs decided to run for Governor, quite unexpectedly, I had a problem — Two fantastic candidates, two terrific people, two wonderful champions, and it is therefore my Great Honor TO GIVE MY COMPLETE AND TOTAL ENDORSEMENT TO BOTH. Either one will never let you down. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
According to Mediaite, this is not the first time that Trump has endorsed multiple candidates in the same race.
In 2022, Trump endorsed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who was running against Robson, who reportedly had the backing of former Vice President Mike Pence. Katie Hobbs ultimately won the election, beating out Lake by only 1%.
Trump also endorsed Abe Hamadeh and Blake Masters in 2024 in Arizona’s 8th Congressional District Republican primary, which was won by Hamadeh. Jerrod Sessler and Tiffany Smiley were both supported by Trump when they ran in Washington’s 4th Congressional District.
Trump further supported the top three candidates in Missouri’s governor race, and both Andrew Bailey and Will Scharf in Missouri attorney general race.
