Trump Gets Into it With Fox News Host On Social Media

President Donald Trump made headlines Tuesday after posting a sharp message on his social media platform, Truth Social, targeting Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov. Tarlov, known for her liberal takes on the popular evening panel show The Five, became the focus of a blunt and direct post from the president.

“I can’t stand Jessica Tarlov of THE FIVE,” Trump wrote, calling her a “real loser.” The comment quickly caught fire online, with Trump supporters amplifying his words across various platforms.

The post did not mention a specific comment or exchange that triggered Trump’s reaction, but tensions between Tarlov and her conservative co-hosts have been running high in recent days. On July 24, Tarlov engaged in a heated exchange on-air during a discussion about recently declassified documents tied to the Russia investigation.

During the segment, Tarlov strongly pushed back on claims that the Russia collusion narrative was built on false pretenses by top officials during the Obama administration. She stated, without citing supporting documentation, that Russian President Vladimir Putin “wanted Trump to win.” That claim has long been debated, and recent reports suggest that Russian election interference in 2016 was more chaotic and disorganized than previously believed — with no clear evidence that it favored Trump over Hillary Clinton.

Her comment drew immediate responses from co-hosts Jesse Watters and Kellyanne Conway. Watters noted that the report did not conclude Putin had a preference. Conway argued that the media had played a major role in keeping the Russia collusion story alive without hard evidence for years.

Tarlov then raised her voice, pressing the idea that U.S. intelligence assessments backed her claims. At one point, she accused the panel of “literally going back” and rewriting the facts. The disagreement escalated until all panelists were talking over each other.

The on-air exchange circulated online, and that may have been what prompted Trump’s post.

As the president’s remarks began trending, supporters and critics alike reacted. Some praised Trump for speaking out against what they view as bias on Fox News. Others questioned whether a sitting president should use his platform to attack a television personality.

“President Trump just called Fox’s Jessica Tarlov ‘a real LOSER!’… Millions of people agree!” wrote Eric Daugherty, a contributor for Florida’s Voice, in a widely shared post. Another high-profile account known as “MAGA Voice” posted, “Jessica is absolutely the WORST. SHE SHOULD BE FIRED!”

While Tarlov has not publicly responded to the Truth Social post, she has continued to appear on The Five since the controversy. Fox News has not commented on the exchange or the president’s statement.

The situation adds to ongoing questions about the role of media in shaping political narratives, especially during a time when campaigns are ramping up and tensions are already high. The back-and-forth between the president and a prominent TV commentator also underscores how fast political messages can spread — and how quickly emotions can escalate in the public eye.

Whether more responses are coming from the White House or from Fox News remains unclear. But for now, the viral moment continues to stir conversation and fuel speculation about what will happen next — both on screen and off.
