As former President Donald Trump is facing a criminal trial in New York City, he is re-hashing another battle.
In a post on Truth Social on Wednesday, the former president took aim at late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, writing, “Stupid Jimmy Kimmel, who still hasn’t recovered from his horrendous performance and big ratings drop as Host of The Academy Awards, especially when he showed he suffered from TDS, commonly known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, to the entire World by reading on air my TRUTH about how bad a job he was doing that night, right before he stumbled through announcing the biggest award of all, ‘Picture of the Year.'”
“It was a CLASSIC CHOKE, one of the biggest ever in show business, and to top it off, he forgot to say the famous and mandatory line, ‘AND THE WINNER IS.’ Instead he stammered around as he opened the envelope. Supposedly his wife, and even management, begged him not to do it,” he continued.
Trump added, “Supposedly his wife, and even management, begged him not to do it, ‘DON’T READ HIS TRUTH, JIMMY, PLEASE DON’T DO THIS,’ they said. He was made to look like a FOOL, which he is, and at the same time go down in Television History as the WORST HOST EVER OF THE ONCE VAUNTED ACADEMY AWARDS!”

While hosting the Oscars on Mar. 10, Kimmel decided to read a post from Trump attacking him.
Kimmel said, “You know, doing this show is not about me. And I appreciate you having me. It’s really about you and, Emma and all these great actors and actresses and filmmakers.”
“But, I was told we have, like, an extra minute. And, I’m really proud of something and I was wondering if I could share it with you. I just got a review, and umm…,” he continued.
Kimmel then read a post on Truth Social from Trump savaging his performance as a host:
“Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars. His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be. Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed up, but cheap, ABC ‘talent,’ George Slopanopoulos. He would make everybody on stage look bigger, stronger, and more glamorous.”

Trump later said Kimmel was “even dumber than I thought” for reading his post.
