President Donald Trump went after the 2020 Democratic contenders’ debate performances, zeroing in on their face off Wednesday night.
According to Politico, Trump didn’t mince words when he discussed Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Amy Klobuchar, former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
As previously reported on IJR, Trump tweeted about Bloomberg’s performance, but last night he took things to a whole new level.

The Trump economy is amazing across the country but nowhere better than in Colorado – unprecedented unemployment rate of 2.5 percent.

During his campaign rally in Colorado Springs last night, Trump added dramatics to his mocking of the Democratic candidates. He started with Bloomberg.
“Bloomberg made a fool out of himself. He choked!” Trump said, while grabbing his necktie and gasping for air. “I can’t breathe! I can’t breathe!”
Then, he moved on to Klobuchar and Buttigieg. One memorable moment during the debate centered around Klobuchar’s inability to remember the name of Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Buttigieg saw the moment as an opportunity to bait Klobuchar to which she responded by asking him the former Mayor if he thought she was “dumb.”
Trump seized the opportunity to highlight this incident, as well. He asked the crowd if they saw the exchange. Then, he offered a comical reenactment of it.
“How about Klobuchar, did you see her? She choked,” Trump said, also gagging while clutching his necktie. “She said, ‘Are you accusing me of being dumb?’ Who would make a statement like that? … That was the end of her campaign in my book. You don’t say that, even if it’s true.”

Trump went on to criticize journalists considering them to be “among the most dishonest people.”
But, despite his level of disdain for the media, he’s confident he will take the Oval Office again in November. “We’ll win anyway,” Trump said.
