President Donald Trump claims to not want the Nobel Peace Prize — but if he doesn’t get it, it would be a “big insult to our country.”

That is just what Trump told a group of military generals during a meeting Tuesday morning in Quantico, Virginia.

Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth met with the military’s top brass where Trump spoke on an array of topics, including his frustration of not winning the Nobel Peace Prize — while claiming he doesn’t want the honor, Mediaite reported.

The president talked about his role in solving several worldwide crises such as between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

He insisted peace deals will happen between Israel and Hamas, as well as Russia and Ukraine as the president recently revealed his 20-point peace plan for Gaza.

“Will you get the Nobel prize? Absolutely not. They’ll give it to some guy that didn’t do a damn thing. They’ll give it to a guy that wrote a book about the mind of Donald Trump and what it took to solve the wars,” Trump said.

He then speculated the prize will go to a writer.

“The Nobel prize will go to a writer. We’ll see what happens, but it would be a big insult to our country,” Trump said. “I will tell you I don’t want it, I want the country to get it. It should get it because there’s never been anything like it.”

President Trump on Nobel Prize:

"8 wars in 8 months. Nobody's ever done that. Will you get the Nobel prize? Absolutely NOT! They'll give it to some guy that didn't do a damn thing! They'll give it to a guy that wrote a book about 'The Mind of Donald Trump!' The Nobel prize will… pic.twitter.com/PbD65lEuns

“Think of it. If this happens — I think it will, I don’t say that lightly — I know more about deals than anybody,” he said of the peace talks between Gaza and Israel. “This can change. We have just about everybody. We have one signature that we need and that’s signature will pay in hell if they don’t sign. I hope they sign for their own good and we create something really great. But to have done eight of them is just like such an honor.”

“Then we have Putin and Zelenskyy. The easiest one of them all, I said. That one will get done. I thought it would be first. Some of them are much harder,” Trump added.
