The American people could possibly see another side to President Donald Trump if he is reelected to a second term.
During a sit-down White House interview with OutKick’s Jason Whitlock, he asked Trump, “If you go into the second term, might we see a different personality from President Trump.”
Whitlock noted Trump’s reaction to the death of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
“She led an amazing life, what else can you say? She was an amazing woman — whether you agreed or not — she was an amazing woman who led an amazing life,” Trump said after learning of her death.
He added, “I am sad to hear that.”
Whitlock asked him if he will be “as much of a fighter” as he was in his first term.
“I think the answer is yes,” Trump replied. “I want the answer to be yes, but when I first came here, there was so much to do. I didn’t have time to be totally and politically correct.”
Watch the exchange below:
Trump recited the things he accomplished during his first term including rebuilding the military, tax cuts, caring for veterans, and criminal justice reform.
“The answer is yes, I think so,” he continued. “And I want to bring it all together. And what brings it together is success.”
Trump told Whitlock “it was coming together” and then “we got hit with the China plague.”
He reiterated, “I hope the answer is yes.”
Trump continued, “But a lot of it is time. It’s like you got to get going, you don’t have much time. Being politically correct takes time. And sometimes we don’t have time. But the answer is yes, and I’d certainly like to.”
Whitlock noted Trump will be in Nashville on Thursday night for the final presidential debate with Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
