After Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) announced that she was suspending her presidential campaign, President Donald Trump weighed in on the timing of the decision.
In a tweet on Thursday, Trump suggested that Warren’s decision to stay in the race may have cost Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) the Democratic nomination for president.
“Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren, who was going nowhere except into Mini Mike’s head, just dropped out of the Democrat Primary…THREE DAYS TOO LATE. She cost Crazy Bernie, at least, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Texas. Probably cost him the nomination! Came in third in [Massachusetts.]”

In the lead up to Super Tuesday, Warren came under pressure to drop out of the race and help consolidate the progressive wing of the party to give Sanders a boost.
Sanders wound up winning four out of the 14 states that held primaries on March 3, while Biden won the rest — which launched him into first place in the delegate count.
As it became clear that the consolidation of the moderate wing of the party had boosted Biden on Tuesday, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn)— who endorsed Sanders — appeared to suggest that Warren had split the vote and cost Sanders some victories.
Imagine if the progressives consolidated last night like the moderates consolidated, who would have won?

That’s what we should be analyzing. I feel confident a united progressive movement would have allowed for us to #BuildTogether and win MN and other states we narrowly lost. https://t.co/lAj2mhI3GR
Trump sent several tweets on Wednesday that suggested Warren was “selfish” and had hurt Sanders’ chances of winning the nomination.
The Democrat establishment came together and crushed Bernie Sanders, AGAIN! Even the fact that Elizabeth Warren stayed in the race was devastating to Bernie and allowed Sleepy Joe to unthinkably win Massachusetts. It was a perfect storm, with many good states remaining for Joe!

So selfish for Elizabeth Warren to stay in the race. She has Zero chance of even coming close to winning, but hurts Bernie badly. So much for their wonderful liberal friendship. Will he ever speak to her again? She cost him Massachusetts (and came in third), he shouldn’t!

Wow! If Elizabeth Warren wasn’t in the race, Bernie Sanders would have EASILY won Massachusetts, Minnesota and Texas, not to mention various other states. Our modern day Pocahontas won’t go down in history as a winner, but she may very well go down as the all time great SPOILER!

Warren’s departure leaves Biden, Sanders, and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii) in the race for the nomination.
