President Donald Trump went right to work Monday by signing eight executive orders at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
These orders include withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Climate Treaty that the U.S. entered in to under former President Barack Obama’s administration in 2015, per Fox News.
Trump had previously withdrew the U.S. from the agreement during his first administration in 2020.
Other executive orders Trump signed include rescinding nearly 80 executive orders and memoranda done by former President Joe Biden.
Trump also issued a hiring freeze in the federal government and signed an order that will prevent “government censorship” of free speech
“Could you imagine Biden doing this?” Trump asked while signing the executive orders at the arena. “I don’t think so.”
But that is not all. Trump is expected to sign more than 200 executive actions Monday, including tackling border security, energy, and ending DEI programs.
