President Donald Trump is disputing Tehran’s claim that its nuclear sites were not destroyed after the U.S. military sent B-2 Spirit stealth bombers to obliterate Iran’s nuclear weapons program which was reportedly weeks away from producing a bomb.
On Truth Social, Trump said there could be a regime change on the horizon for Iran.
“It’s not politically correct to use the term, “Regime Change,” but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!” Trump wrote.
Later that evening, the president detailed the extent of damage that was done to the Fordow Uranium Enrichment Plant, the Natanz Nuclear Facility, and the Isfahan Nuclear Technology Center.
Codenamed Operation Midnight Hammer, the attack targeted the sites with GBU-57A/B bombs and Tomahawk missiles, according to ABC.
“Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran, as shown by satellite images,” Trump wrote. “Obliteration is an accurate term! The white structure shown is deeply imbedded into the rock, with even its roof well below ground level, and completely shielded from flame. The biggest damage took place far below ground level. Bullseye!!!”
