Former President Donald Trump says he would be willing to take a drug test ahead of his debate with President Joe Biden.
In a post on Truth Social Monday, Trump wrote, “DRUG TEST FOR CROOKED JOE BIDEN??? I WOULD, ALSO, IMMEDIATELY AGREE TO ONE!!!”
In another post, the former president shared a story about Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), a former White House physician, vowing to demand Biden take a drug test before and after the debate.
“Ronny Jackson was a brilliant Doctor, Admiral and now, a GREAT Congressman. He happens to be totally right about what is written in this MUST READ Article but, unfortunately, nothing will be done about it!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump has previously suggested Biden will be using drugs ahead of the debate. During a speech in May, he said, “I just want to debate this guy, but you know – and I’m gonna demand a drug test too, by the way.”
Last week, The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman told CNN Trump’s campaign has realized they set the expectations too low for Biden ahead of the 2020 debates.
Now, the Trump team is leaning into the suggestion Biden will be “jacked up” on some kind of drug ahead of the debate, and will be lively.
“It’s been reported that right now Crooked Joe’s gone to a log cabin to study, prepare,” Trump said during a rally on Saturday. “He’s sleeping now because they want to get him good and strong. So, a little before debate time, he gets a shot in the ass. They want to strengthen him up.
He predicted, “He’ll come out all jacked up.”
